Christmas Advent Calendar

Here is the long awaited Christmas advent calendar that Tina and I designed and then made (with a little bit of help from our elf Roger).  The best part is......it is refillable each year with minimal effort.  You just need to replace the candy and the aluminum foil and velcro it back together!!  Below you will find the photos of the work in progress and the final product.

Piece shown in the first picture with the aluminum foil placed.

Voila!  The finished product!

Prototypes For My Convention Swaps - Delicate Doilies

Some of the background card stock is Very Vanilla, some Whisper White and some light versions of the color I was highlighting (i.e. Bashful Blue, Pink Pirouette, etc.).  The stippled background is from saran wrap balled up and dabbed into the ink pad.  Most of the cards used at least two coordinating colors of stippling.  I really like the way they turned out.  I like them so much, I couldn't decide on just one to use for my general convention swaps, so I am making multiples of them all!

Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant and Crumb Cake

Lucky Limeade, River Rock, Old Olive

Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink

Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze

Purse Explosion Box

The photos below are of a purse explosion box which I CASED from Brenda Quintana from Split Coast Stampers.  This was the gift I made Katrina's kindergarten teacher for an end of the year gift.  Inside I placed the seven matching note cards shown in the last photo, along with some movie tickets.

Lightening McQueen

I CASED this card and made a few of my own changes to it.  This was the card I made for my son's second birthday yesterday!  I can't believe my baby is two!  Nicholas loves Lightening McQueen because he looks like "Dada's car".

Lovely As a Tree

This is a card I CASED from someone on Stampin' Connection.  I just changed the greeting and the layering of the greeting.  I absolutely LOVE this set and how this card turned out!

Retired Paper Stamp a Stack

I spent the weekend making a bunch of cards for my card drawer using retired DSP and cardstock.  I am preparing for the new Idea Book and Catalog that comes out June 1st and is live to order on July 1, 2011.  I am getting so excited.  These cards are just as beautiful, some of the paper is just retired.  All of the stamp sets seen are still current.
